For skiing and riding on Bald Mountain, River Run Base Area is approximately 4.5 miles away. Elkhorn is also connected to the greater Sun Valley and Ketchum area by the free Mountain Rides bus system, giving guests another convenient option for getting around without having to drive. Bike, Walk & Explore From Your Door One of the advantages of staying in Elkhorn is the easy access to Sun Valley’s extensive trail network. Miles of paved walking and biking paths are located nearby, connecting Elkhorn with Sun Valley Village, Ketchum, and the broader Wood River Valley. During the warmer months, the area is an excellent home base for mountain biking, gravel riding, hiking, golf, fly fishing, and exploring the surrounding Sawtooth Mountains. In winter, you’re minutes from skiing while still enjoying the quieter residential atmosphere of Elkhorn. Parking: One vehicle may be parked in the building’s underground garage. Please note that oversized vehicles or vehicles with rooftop ski racks may not fit in the garage. Guests traveling with larger vehicles should review local overnight parking options before arrival. Elkhorn Amenities: Please note that complimentary access to Elkhorn Village community amenities—including the pool, tennis facilities, and other recreational amenities—is not included with the reservation.
